Coupon Trouble-shooting
There are several reasons why a coupon code may create an error message, or be ignored by the Shopping Cart.
If you are having difficulty, please check through the list below. If nothing below solves the problem, please use the Contact Us page to let us know, and we'll look into it and get back to you.
• Some coupon codes are 1 use per customer only.
This may mean the site knows you have used the code before, or you may not be logged in to the site. If you are not logged in (or if you are a new visitor who has yet to register and login) then the site cannot check whether to allow the coupon to be used.
We appreciate new customers may prefer to register automatically during check-out, but for these type of coupons, that is not currently possible.
• There may be an error in the code.
Please check that you have typed the code correctly. Don't worry about Capital Letters though, the code will work with or without them.
• The code may be Product Specific.
If you have a code for a very specific promotion (i.e. "£2 off Product X"), then ensure the items in your cart meet the requirements (the right product, or quantity of products) before entering the code.
• The code may be Time-Restricted
Some of our offers have to claimed within certain start and end dates. Check the small print of any flyer, website etc where you obtained the code to ensure the code you are trying is currently valid.
• The code may be Exclusive / Non-combinable.
We are pleased to be able to offer you a range of discounts at Ales By Mail that you can combine for maximum savings - but sometimes we release a Coupon code that even we can't afford to have stacked up with several others!
Check the small print of any flyer, website etc where you obtained the code to check whether the code cannot be used in conjunction other codes you may have in your shopping cart.
Note: Sorry, but this site does not currently allow deletion of codes from the cart once they are entered - we are working on it.
• We broke something...
The Ales By Mail site is very new, and occasionally things break, or just don't act quite like we'd hope.
In those instances where nothing above applies and the code simply refuses to work, please let us know. We will fix it, and we will keep you informed.
Remember, you can always use the details on our Contact Us page to order by phone. Simply quote whatever codes you were trying to use, and we will be sure to apply them to your order.
